This beautiful roving comes from a 60% BFL 40% Gotland ewe named Miss Vicki. The fibre is strong, sleek, and silky, and is begging to be spun into laceweight yarn! At least, that's what I'm doing with the portion I set aside for myself!
Miss Vicki comes from a flock on Barnston Island that's raised specifically for handspinners. She is a well loved member of the flock, and the staple length of her beautiful fleece averages about 6 inches. This roving was milled by Longway Homestead in Manitoba,
Sold in 100 gram bumps, undyed. Dyed fibre from this fleece will be available soon!
Note: there is an occasional bit of VM in this fibre.
