Hand dyed Romney Alpaca Silk blend (70/20/10) Fingering weight yarn, 2 ply, 400 yards, 100 grams, Canadian raised and milled, small batch
This fingering weight yarn is soft, and full of texture and shine. The Romney wool comes from a small flock in the Cowichan Valley, and the alpaca from the Inca Dinca Do flock in Victoria. This yarn is highly textural - lots of slubs and twisty bits. I think it would make a fantastic weft (probably not strong enough for warp, unless used in a rigid heddle loom), or it will look amazing knit up. It should be soft enough for most adult to wear next to skin.
"Moss" is a golden yellow colourway with tonal variations.
This yarn is among the last to be processed at the Inca Dinca Do Mill in Saanich, BC.
