Undyed 30% Mohair 70% Wool blend fingering weight sock yarn, 405 yards per skein, 3 ply, non-superwash, synthetic free
This new sock yarn base, called "Barn Swallow" is the result between a collaboration between The Small Bird Workshop and Wellington Fibres. The wool comes from a flock of Cheviot, Rideau Arcott, and Dorset crossbreed sheep, and the mohair comes from Wellington Fibres' own angora goats. Together, this two fibres make a wonderful lofty, soft, yet durable sock yarn. This sock yarn is 3 ply, and synthetic free. It is non-superwash as well, so handwash only!
This base has just arrived at the workshop, so more colours are on the way!
