100% Polypay wool DK weight yarn
Hand dyed small batch yarn, Polypay wool, Dk weight, 2 ply, 285 yards per 100 grams, available in 4 colours, Canadian sourced and spun
Polypay is a North American developed sheep breed that is primarily raised for meat, but it produces a wonderfully soft, bouncy wool that's underutilized. This yarn comes from an Alberta flock that has traditionally disposed of its wool clip, and I'm working to change that. Soft enough for next to skin, but with a wonderful loft, this yarn will make anything from a cozy cowl to a lovely handknit sweater.
This yarn was spun at Rosebud River Fibre Mill in Alberta, and is available in four colours.
"Prose" is a rich purple with tonal variations.
"Sea Wrack" is a rich seaweed-y green with yellow undertones and tonal variations.
"Westwood" is a forest green with tonal variations.
"Butterscotch Pudding" is a rich, warm gold with tonal variations.
Limited quantities. Please ensure you purchase enough for your project, as this yarn won't be available again until 2022.
Care: Hand wash in cool water, lay flat to dry.
**Please note: I have made every attempt to photograph the colour as accurately as possible, but colours may vary due to differences in screens. There may be colour variations between skeins, and therefore, it's advisable to alternate skeins in multi-skein projects. I dye in small batches, so please ensure you purchase enough yarn to complete your project, as yarn from another batch may be different.**
