100% Romney wool Fingering weight yarn, 395 yards per 100 grams
Hand dyed Romney fingering weight yarn, 395 yards per 100 grams, 2 ply, 100% Canadian, 2020 shearing!
This beautiful undyed fingering weight yarn comes from Cedar Meadows Ranch in Merville, BC. I was actually on hand on shearing day to skirt and choose the fleeces that went into this yarn! Romney is one of my favourite sheep breeds - they are beautiful animals, and produce strong, silky, shiny fibre that lasts and lasts, and it gets softer with wear. This yarn came from yearling ewes, so it's quite soft, although sensitive skinned people may find it too much to wear next to skin.
"Blood Moon" is a rich, dark red with tonal variations. This yarn is only available in this one colour.
Please know that due to the nature of hand-dyeing, colours may vary within a batch, so it's always best to alternate skeins for multiple-skein projects.
Care: Hand wash in cool water, lay flat to dry.
**Please note: I have made every attempt to photograph the colour as accurately as possible, but colours may vary due to differences in screens. There may be colour variations between skeins, and therefore, it's advisable to alternate skeins in multi-skein projects. I dye in small batches, so please ensure you purchase enough yarn to complete your project, as yarn from another batch may be different.**
