Dyed purebred Babydoll Southdown pindrafted roving, Vancouver Island-sourced, 100 gram braids

Regular price $26.00

Babydoll Southdown wool is pretty fun! It's soft (it's next-to-skin soft for almost everyone), super-lofty and springy, and a perfect yarn for spinning woollen. But, because of all its crimp, if you add enough twist, this wool can be a really good sock yarn - I'd suggest a high twist angle and at least three plies (four would be even better). The reason? It's among the most elastic of wools, and it's naturally resistant to felting!

This wool is sourced from a small flock located near Ladysmith, BC. It was processed into pindrafted roving by That Darn Yarn Mill in Kamloops, BC, and each dyed bump is one of a kind.

Price per 100 gram braid.
