Beautiful 100% Romney DK weight yarn! This wonderful yarn comes from a small flock located north of the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, and was milled at Custom Woolen Mills in Alberta. It's woolen spun, meaning the yarn is lofty and warm. Romney sheep are an endangered breed in Canada, the US, and Britain. They produce a medium-weight yarn that's lustrous and strong - a good all-purpose yarn, although those with sensitive skin may find it too crisp to wear directly next to their skin.

This is the last of a batch of yarn purchased directly from the shepherd, and while there will be more yarn and fibre from this flock (Catherine works directly with the shepherd and has purchased the entire clip from this flock several years in a row), it will not be woolen spun. Please ensure you purchased enough yarn to complete your project, because once it's gone, it's gone for good!

There may be colour variations between skeins, and therefore, it's advisable to alternate skeins in multi-skein projects. I dye in small batches, so please ensure you purchase enough yarn to complete your project, as yarn from another batch may be different.**
